What ikat means
The pattern is in the yarn, not on it.
Ikat is dyed before it is ever woven. The yarn is tied off in sections, dipped, dried, untied and only then set on the loom — so the weaver is lining up a pattern that already exists in the thread.
That is why the edges look feathered, why no two metres are identical, and why it never cracks or peels the way a print does. It is also why a single metre takes days of work before it exists at all.

How ordering works
We are small. So instead of taking your money and hoping, we confirm everything with you first — then you pay.
You send the bag
Pick your pieces and sizes, add your name, number and address, and send. Nothing is charged.
We confirm
We check the weave is in stock, work out the total with shipping, and message you on WhatsApp.
You pay
Pay by UPI or bank transfer once you are happy with the total. We share the details on WhatsApp.
We ship
Packed and handed to the courier, usually within 2 working days. You get the tracking number.
Why we exist
It started as a dream, and it nearly stayed one.
Aanamra was a “coming soon” page for a long time. Work, family and the ordinary weight of life kept pushing it back. The people around us never let it go — and that is the only reason it exists at all.
